Cursed Golden Bracelet

Since we were kids, my best friend and I have been living in the same town. This town has an exceedingly low population and an extremely poor financial state of affairs. My closest friend, Pelin, and I were continually grateful to have each other in spite of the town. The path to the woodland was a favorite of Pelin’s and mine. It was a little frightening, but overall, we felt it was serene.

We were heading into the forest one day, like usual, when I felt something beneath my feet. I was expecting it to be a regular stone, but it turned out to be far more complicated than that. I turned to Pelin and said, “Pelin, can you look quietly and slowly at the ground? Am I mistaken, or is there a golden bracelet right under my foot?” Pelin stated to me, “Oh my God, this is a gold bracelet!” in a tone that was both happy and cautious, so as not to be heard by others. “This could make us rich!” she said. This bracelet appeared to be quite costly. Pelin and I reached the conclusion that I ought to maintain this bracelet in my room. I had concerns, even though the bracelet was stunning. How did this bracelet end up in the forest, and who used to own it?

After saying goodbye to Pelin, I headed home. After hiding the bracelet in my room, I fell asleep right away from exhaustion, but I had horrible nightmares. I saw an old woman sobbing loudly. “Where is my bracelet? Where is my bracelet?” was all she wailed. When I woke up in the middle of the night, I was frightened. Not long after I woke up, a shadow moved directly in front of me. I was so scared that I wanted to leave the house. But because of the nightmare I had, I decided to examine the bracelet first. I began to closely inspect the bracelet. Something intriguing caught my attention. The interior of the bracelet has three symbols arranged side by side. A circle, a triangle, and a star were placed next to each other. There must be a significance to this.

Fortunately, our little town maintains a well-stocked library that is open to the public seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Right away, as soon as I took the bracelet, I walked out of my house. Even though it was heavy with rain and quite dark, I was adamant on finding the bracelet’s secret. I rushed over to the library. There were no people in the library at all. I opened up as soon as possible and began looking through books that could be related to the bracelet. Hours went by, and I still hadn’t found a single piece of information. It dawned on me then that there was a book I had not yet perused. When I opened the book,I realized that the book included only one full page. The book’s remaining pages were entirely blank. The advice said, “Show the mirror to her face and hide it so that the mirror never breaks.”And there was a little map and a piece of paper that fell out. It instructed me to bring the bracelet right now, or things would grow worse on the paper. I could see how to get to the location on the map where I had to take the bracelet. Additionally, the exact same sign as the bracelet was also present on the full page of the book.
Despite my nervousness, I was resolute. I messaged Pelin the address I was going to, just to be safe. I left the library immediately and headed rapidly in the direction of the location that was provided to me. The rain began to get heavier, which made the air colder and made it harder for me to see. Eventually, I came to a creepy, two-story wooden house. I cautiously opened the door and entered the home. As soon as I got inside the home, a window broke, and the door started to open and close by itself. Just as in my nightmare, an elderly woman suddenly appeared in front of me and began yelling, “Where is my bracelet? Where is my bracelet?” She attempted to yank the bracelet out of my hand by force while holding me in her arms and drawing me closer to herself.

Pelin went into the entryway at that same moment, so I flung the bracelet in towards her. I extracted the mirror from my pocket and brought it up to the elderly woman’s face, recalling a quote I found in the book about mirrors. Abruptly, the woman sobbed and went into the mirror. Pelin and I were aghast, but we had to grab this mirror because the old woman would reappear if it cracked. We promised never to open the coded safe again after hiding the mirror and the bracelet.
