Now in my childhood (I’m still a kid), people used to tell me this all the time, which made me study harder back in the day but this got old pretty fast and this is kind of starting to annoy me. Now, don’t get me wrong… Working hard is important and it’s great to encourage others to do so, too. But if you keep using the same phrase all the time, its effects start to fade away. In my opinion, it has literally become the same as not saying anything to them at all.
How to improve:
I think parents can study with their children to give them a little push rather than telling them to study. After you gave them this push, they can control the rest. But I’m not a parent, so do whatever you want. I don’t really mind.
