Global Warming Is Real: Core of the Phenomenon

“We are in danger of destroying ourselves by our greed and stupidity. We cannot remain to look inwards at ourselves on a small and increasingly polluted and overcrowded planet.” – Stephen Hawking. Over the last one to two centuries, there has been a phenomenon known as global warming, which has seen an increase in the average air temperature (has risen by 1.5 degrees Celsius) near the Earth’s surface. The earth’s climate pattern has been altered by this change. This is extremely hazardous to both the environment and human beings. It increased on average by 0.07 degrees Celsius per 10 years between 1880 and 1980. The rate of growth, however, has more than doubled since 1981: Over the past 40 years, the yearly global temperature has increased by 0.18 degrees Celsius per decade. Global warming is caused by natural events and human that is believed to contribute to increasing average temperatures.

Several factors contribute to global warming, which is destroying the planet. Understanding these reasons will help us identify the underlying issues and accelerate the eradication of the global warming crisis. Some of the global warming factors are listed below. These power plants produce electricity by burning fossil fuels, which release significant volumes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The burning of gasoline in automotive engines is responsible for about 25% of the carbon dioxide released into the environment. Another contributor to global warming is deforestation, which results from the clearing and burning of forests for habitation and industrialization. The irrevocable cause of global warming is now the activity of ruthlessly removing trees from the landscape. Since hundreds of years ago, greenhouse gases have lingered in the atmosphere for a very long time. The effects that global warming will have on the planet, nevertheless, are very grave. If global warming persists, a wide range of consequences will occur. These include spreading illnesses, melting the polar ice caps, economic repercussions, warmer oceans, and more hurricanes and earthquakes. There will be more severe water shortages as a result of melting glaciers, early snowmelt, and severe droughts, which will further raise the danger of wildfires. More coastal flooding will result from rising sea levels. Cities, farms, and forests will see more bothersome bugs, heat waves, torrential downpours, and flooding. Agriculture and fisheries may be harmed or destroyed by all of these. Many plant and animal species could go extinct as a result of habitat disruption. Asthma, allergy, and infectious disease outbreaks will increase as pollen-producing ragweed grows more rapidly and air pollution levels rise.

We must take the appropriate action in order to solve the Global Warming issue. Some of these actions are as simple as altering our regular routines. Switching public transport, using the reduce-reuse-repair-recycle method, afforestation, using electrical cars instead the ones which working with fossil fuels. To sum up, we should take significant actions (recalling global warming is mostly caused by human beings’ actions) in order to decline its effects of it. Failure on this can cause numerous and enormous disasters. “The challenge of pollution and global warming is no longer the science, or the rate of innovation, but the rate of implementation: We have the clean solutions; now let’s bundle them and install them”-Jens Martin Skibsted.
