Money or Health

Oil and water are some of the most valuable natural resources nowadays. Water has been very important for human life since the beginning of humanity. If you don’t drink enough water each day, you risk becoming hydrated. It is estimated that after 25 years, there won’t be any water left because of human activities. In the modern time, oil is a popular topic amongpeople and discussed on the news almost every day. After the price rise of oil, the countries which have oil reserves have earned so much money by selling it to other countries. These countries are: Iran, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Iraq and Kuwait.

All around the world oil is the resource which is paid the highest amount of money. It would be an important effect for the government’s economy. Oil price increases are generally thought to increase inflation and reduce economic growth. In terms of inflation, oil prices directly affect the prices of goods made with petroleum products. The increase in these costs can in turn affect the prices of a variety of goods and services, as producers may pass production costs on to consumers. The extent to which oil price increases lead to consumption price increases which depends on how important oil is for the production of a given type of good or service.

On the other hand, water resources have lots of great effects for the world. Due to its special qualities, water is an important resource and is used in many different ways.

All living things need water to survive. Humans can’t survive more than five to seven days without fresh water. Water is also important for the environment. Wherever it travels, water carries chemicals, minerals and nutrients with it. If people pollute water or take too much fresh water from rivers or lakes, it can affect the animals and plants that rely on the water for their survival.

Polluted water is a health hazard. Access to clean water is important for health. Many people around the world do not have access to clean water supplies. Although water is a renewable resource, it becomes difficult and expensive to reuse if it gets polluted.

To summarize, water is important for human life and it is found everywhere around the world but oil is a rare resource. I would like to have oil reserves rather than water for greater economy and for better living conditions.
