Is Intervening in Human Genetics a Natural Progression of Science, or Is It an Ethical Boundary Violation?

Hi guys, today we will talk about the question: “Is Intervening in Human Genetics a Natural Progression of Science, or Is It an Ethical Boundary Violation?”

First, I want to clarify that this is my own opinion, supported by some scientific facts and theories. I honestly think that intervening in human genetics is an ethical boundary violation.

I support this idea because we know that long ago, we all lived in wild environments without changing or experimenting with our own genetics or DNA. We survived just fine in those times. However, if we had been able to change our genetics back then, nature’s balanced food chains, food webs, and ecosystems would have been affected because of us. In short, it wouldn’t fit with nature.

On the other hand, there could be positive effects to intervening in human genetics. By changing DNA, we could eliminate genetic defects that cause diseases like diabetes and schizophrenia. We could also develop new treatment methods.

That’s all for today. See you next month!
