Errorful Perfectionism: The Flawless Mistakes of Young

Have you ever thought whether you are wasting your teenage years for nothing? What appeals to me is that sometimes not being perfect and just trying is the main component that builds the characteristics of a teen.

Nowadays, the idea of being ‘perfect’ seems to confuse many teenagers and cause a big misconception on differentiating useful and useless experiences. The never-ending requests and comments from authorities about their work cause demureness. As teens become more anxious about the things they commit, they tend to try less and less. Caused by that, their desires go off and they become introverted.

Additionally, if teenagers do not get to experience the sense of being responsible of the consequences of their work, they will surely face difficulties adapting the work life in the future. Learning to be healthily cautious and aware while completing a task is a precious quality today.

Opposers of this idea argues that teenage years are important to build up a strong CV and should not be spent by doing things improperly. What this argument misses are nobody can achieve anything if they do not try and fail first. Seeing how something cannot be done builds up the logic to the way of success.

In a nutshell, allowing teens to make mistakes and decide what they want to do by trying is necessary in order to let them live their only lives happily. I believe that everyone must give everything they wonder a try without the concern of failure to at least satisfy themselves.
