Article:The Use of Artificial Intelligence

In our latest English class, we discussed the use of Artificial Intelligence by students for schoolwork. Some of my classmates argued that AI is just a tool like a calculator. Also, they said that using AI key of the future. Others think that using AI to generate ideas or edit work means students are not truly learning anything themselves.

On the one hand, AI can be very useful. It can help students understand difficult topics, improve their ideas, checking grammer mistakes. For example, if a student couldn’t solve a math question, AI can explain the question step by step to help the student. Also, as AI becomes more popular each day, it will be an advantage to us in the future, knowing how to use AI wisely.

However, other of them were worried about if student’s rely too much and lose their own skills. They defended that if AI generates, students are not fully engaging in the learning process. Such as if someone copies a text written by AI, they are not developing their own thinking or writing skills. These skills can only grow through practice and effort.

In my opinion, AI can be both helpful and harmful. It depends on how students use it. If it is used responsibly as a support tool, it can improve learning. However, it should never replace students’ own ideas.
