When I woke up that morning, there was a problem. I was speaking Turkish, but everyone else was speaking English. That was okay for me because I knew English, so it was easy. But, what about… the words that I didn’t know? That was a HUGE problem.
Actually, it was not, because I could use a translator to understand the words I didn’t know.
So, let’s look at the benefits of everyone speaking the same language. Actually, it has disadvantages too. But first, the benefits: Because everyone speaks the same language, everyone understands each other even if they are from different countries.
And now, the disadvantages. At school, we cannot learn any foreign languages because everyone is already speaking English. Then we will just say “boring,” create a new language, everyone will speak that language, then we will be bored of it, and so on… it will be a loop.
