If the World Spoke One Language

Hello, today I will explain what would happen if everyone in the world spoke the same language. First of all, there would still be different regions, but the same language would be spoken everywhere. However, it would develop different accents in each region. This could cause communication problems because some accents might be difficult to understand.

In my opinion, that common language would be English, since it is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. Over time, English would change in different regions, just like Old English changed into Modern English. Old English is very different from the English we speak today. In the future, new regional versions of English might appear and become more common.

The next day, when I woke up, I realized that everyone was speaking English. I decided to explore different regions. The accents were extremely different. One sounded Chinese, another sounded Spanish, one sounded Italian, and another sounded Australian. They were very unusual to hear. At that moment, I understood that every language and accent has its own importance, and that diversity makes communication richer.
