Children are not only the future of a nation but the future of all humanity. This means that children’s rights must be of utmost importance in society in order for them to be able to move on with their lives.
Although children’s rights may not seem significant today, they are in fact very important. In order for a country to survive in the world, it needs conscious individuals, and in order for this to occur, children must be raised in the right environment, in appropriate conditions and taught about their rights. There cannot be a developed country without conscious people. It is not conflicts that develop the country, but people with new ideas. That is why the saying “Protecting children’s rights shapes the future of a society.” is very true. Think of it this way, in a place where children’s rights are not protected and not cared for, a child wants to be a doctor and heal people in the future, but nobody looks at him, listens to him, or is interested in his ideas. As a result, the country where that child lives may lose a very successful doctor. This is true for potential writers, painters and many other artists because no one listens to their ideas. Most adults who do not care about children rights will tell them that they will not be able to make money in the future, that they are too small to choose their own profession.
This is where we need to step in. To protect these rights, we can do things such as learning the Convention on the Rights of the Child and teaching others around us to respect these rights in our daily lives. We can start donating to organizations that help children financially and morally, never allowing child abuse and punishing it with very high penalties. We can organize awareness campaigns, respect children’s freedom of expression and take their views into account, ensuring that children grow up in a physically and psychologically safe environment. Last but not leats, we should produce content that defends children’s rights on social media.
This is why it is so important to start caring more about children’s rights in our daily lives and to let others know how important it is.
