Both Nietzsche and Yunus Emre were great thinkers of their times. They both believed that a human must transcend over their own kind, their selves. But their view over this was really different and close somehow. Nietzche said “Self-worth enhances a person’s dignity” talking about how a person should better themselves. . Yunus Emre said “Humility elevates a person’s virtue”. Even though their times and lives and beliefs were different, they came to the same conclusion an the end. A person must overcome their humanity. This is what Nietzsche was most focused on, the “Übermensch”. This is what Yunus Emre meant by elevating virtues, the overcoming of all humanity. Yunus Emre was a dervish while Nietzsche was a non-believer. Nietzsche had a materialist view on the topic, Yunus Emre was viewing overcoming as a more godly manner, the losing of ego.
With the lose ones selfness the Übermensch the godly status would be reached. Nietzsche expressed this as ignoring the norms of society. Yunus Emre expressed it as losing of selfness, the earthly material of the human soul. Isn’t it really the meaning of life. To surpass, to trancent over humanity and it’s norms. The Earthy material is a distraction for the soul. But a necessity to the body and the self. Übermensch is leaving the norms and the earthly material behind. Leaving the society behind. A man can be perceived by the vicinity and it’s inner animalistic needs of, greed and want of getting higher on the social hierarchy. Leaving this behind by humility or indivulism does not matter. After all you would have reached higher than those who would judge you. Why would a person should care than who is lower than themselfs? The ones lower than the Übermensch are stil searching to get higher, to get jugded by people positively. If the care for society ends, than a man can become so godly.
Both Yunus Emre and Nietzsche wanted to over come humanity. To trancent. When you ignore your ego and the social norms you can become the Übermensch, become godly.
