One day, instead of blue, the sky started raining green, and everything changed.
“Don’t step on the mud Kyle! You’re going to get your shoes dirty” I shouted at my little brother. Although he usually never listened to me, I’ve always felt obligated to protect him. As an older sister, all the responsibility fell on my shoulders but I was used to it.
“You never let me play how I want to!” He responded with a sassy tone. “We finally came to a forest, stop controlling me and try to have some fun Jenny.” “That’s a lot of big words for a nine-year-old. Fine, you win this time. But if mum and dad get mad, it’s your fault.” I decided to actually let him go and take a walk. The sun was shining, so it was the perfect weather to have some relaxing time. I walked along a path made by hikers and tried not to get far away from my family.
As I was walking, I saw a cute bunny! It had beautiful white hair and big eyes. I tried to move closer, hoping to not scare it away. The bunt didn’t run away, instead it tried to lead me down another path. “Only in movies a mysterious creature tries to communicate with you.” I thought to myself. However, those big eyes were enough to get me curious, so I followed the bunny. It led me down an unfamiliar path. After a while, I saw a deer laying on the ground. It looked like the deer was shot. I immediately looked at the wound to try and predict how long it will take to rescue. But suddenly I realized something: If this deer was shot by someone, that person is probably going to come and take the deer. Because why would you shoot an animal just to leave it there, right? This realization sent chills down my spine. I had to do something in a short amount of time to save the deer. At that moment, it felt like instead of blue, the sky started raining green, and everything changed. I started running back to where my parents are supposed to be in a quick paste. I was scared to lose my way but fortunately I found Kyle. “Kyle get mum and dad here, now!” He looked at me like I was insane, but surprisingly he didn’t question me and ran to our parents.
I told my parents what I saw and they followed me to see the deer. After that they called animal rescue. We waited patiently for the animal rescue guys to come and save the creature. Everything went smoothly though, and the deer was successfully rescued. I felt both relieved and proud at the same time. I never thought that I would stay this calm.
