Have you ever dreamt of a place where you could get to know other teens without getting bugged consistently with all the hustle and bustle of the student life? If so, you should definitely pay a visit to the Brooklyn Youth Centre!
The sessions were held in an enormous garden with cushions which were the most comfortable ones I have ever seen! We especially liked that there was no cell phones allowed because then we could get to know others without getting distracted. However, that wasn’t the best thing yet. It was that we were each paired with someone from another group to meet them and when all sessions are done, we both got a quiz about each other!
On the downsides to it as well. For starters, there were many spiders which really triggered my arachnophobia and made the experience slightly less appealing. I was also disappointed by how short each session was. 15 minutes were definitely not enough to get to know someone!
Overall, it was a wonderful experience despite the cons. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is willing to get over their shyness and meet new people.
