Gaining a new skill or trying out different hobbies plays an important role in the self-improvement of teenagers. Learning new things helps teens discover their interests and potential. Because of this, during this summer holiday, I joined a community program that offered courses in singing, acting, dancing, and more.
I chose acting, dancing, and singing. When selecting the courses, I tried to find a good balance between physical and social activities. So, I picked dancing for physical activity, singing to improve my social skills, and acting to develop my ability to empathize with others.
These courses had many advantages. First of all, I spent my free time doing meaningful and fun activities. I also met many professionals in singing, acting, and dancing, and they gave me useful advice about my future career. The courses helped me learn new skills and gain confidence in myself.
However, there were also some disadvantages. Managing my time was challenging because the courses were long and I had other plans during the summer. Sometimes I felt a bit tired and stressed trying to attend all the activities.
Overall, the experience was very valuable because the advantages outweighed the disadvantages. I learned new skills, met interesting people, and had fun, even though time management was sometimes difficult. Next summer, I hope to join more courses and continue improving myself.
