My friends and I recently spent an afternoon at the new Youth Activity Park, and it was quite an experience! Overall, it offers a fantastic space for young people to be active outdoors.
On the positive side, the park boasts an impressive array of facilities. We particularly enjoyed the challenging climbing wall and the well-maintained football pitches; there’s genuinely something for every interest. The equipment feels modern and secure, and the general atmosphere is buzzing with positive energy, encouraging everyone to get involved.
However, we did encounter a couple of drawbacks. Firstly, the park becomes incredibly crowded, especially on weekend afternoons. We spent a fair bit of time queuing for popular activities, which was a bit frustrating. Secondly, there’s a noticeable lack of shaded areas. On a hot day, finding a spot to cool down and relax was almost impossible, making it less comfortable for extended visits.
Despite these minor issues, it’s a brilliant concept for promoting outdoor activity. It’s definitely worth a visit, perhaps during off-peak hours!
