An Unforgettable Adventure

On 20th of February, my family received mysterious letter that said we won a holiday to an Island named “Mystara Isle”. Our first reaction was not believing it because we had done nothing to win this free holiday. Then we did some research about this and learned that this Island was a special place which appeared only once in a year. We were all shocked and genuinely excited. So, we packed our stuff and went to the Island with a boat on the day the letter wanted us to go.

When we first arrived, I couldn’t believe my eyes as I stepped into the sand of the Island. The Island was breathtaking. The gigantic trees were the first thing that caught my attention. I started walking towards the forest without noticing. My mom’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts “Let’s stay together and be extra careful until we understand what kind of land we are on.” We all nodded in agreement. “How about we look around?” my dad suggested. As we carefully walked inside the forest, I heard little footsteps. “Something is near us.” I whispered. My mom and dad tensed up and listened carefully. Suddenly, an animal that I’ve never seen in my life stepped out of the shadows. It was like a tiger but twice as big. It had rainbow fur and gorgeous red eyes. We stood there in shock; none of us could even say a single word. As the tiger slowly came closer, I took a step back. As if it understood that we’re afraid, it back down. In the blink of an eye, it was gone back to the shadows. We stood there in silence until my dad cleared her throat. “It’s dangerous in the forest, we should go back to the beach” he murmured, his voice showing how shaken he actually is. As we all walked in deafening silence, the ocean slowly showed itself to us. The sun was leaving its place to the moon and the stars as we stepped on the golden sand. I wrapped my arms around myself when I realized I was shivering.

In that exact moment, miraculously, a tiny house appeared on the horizon. We were too cold and exhausted to question so we walked towards the house. When we stepped inside, the fire was burning in the fireplace. The place looked cozy and comfortable. My parents looked around while I carefully sat down on the couch placed in the middle of the room. My parents came to a silent agreement and sat down next to me. I don’t remember when, but I eventually fell asleep. When I woke up, it was already morning. “Mom, dad, wake up.” I murmured and watched them stir. After an hour, we packed all our stuff and got ready to leave the island. When our boat appeared on the horizon, I let out a sigh of relief; already dreaming of going back home.
