It was a cold Tuesday night, and I was tired of studying for my English exam. My dog, Max was sleeping peacefully on the floor and the house was very quiet. Also, my parents weren’t at home because they went to a restaurant. I was just about to take a break when the atmosphere in the room suddenly changed. It all began the moment that strange light streamed in through the window. It wasn’t a normal light from a car. Instead of that it was a soft glowing purple light. My heart started beating fast, and I felt a mix of fear and excitement as the shadows in my room began to move. I started to felt like I am in a video game.
I walked slowly toward the window. I started to fell a coldness. When I looked outside, I couldn’t believe my eyes. My backyard was shining with a beautiful violet coloured orb, and the grass looked like it belonged to another planet because of its collinear the orb a silver object was floating silently. Suddenly, a small metal ball floated into my room and stopped right in front of me. I felt scared for a moment but then it felt friendly. On the ball there was a map drawing of a portal in the middle of my room. For a few seconds, I felt a strange connection to the universe.
Suddenly, the little ball flew back outside and got into the silver object. The craft moved quickly into the clouds and disappeared immediately. The purple light went away, and the street was dark and quiet again. I sat back at my desk and looked at my books, but I couldn’t go back to studying. I couldn’t believe what happened. Everything looked the same as before, but I felt different inside. I realized that the space is a very big place, and I thought we are probably not alone in this giant universe. I imagined about other living thing and their planets. I imagined about talking with them. Therefore, I thought that I can give a sign to them. While I was sleeping, I thought about telling this to my friend and start this adventure with him.
