Nowadays, vast numbers of teenagers use social media platforms to communicate with each other. However, communication in their parents’ generation was very different from today’s. Their culture encouraged face-to-face interaction, which worked effectively. Older generations paid much more attention to communication, and their communication skills were stronger than those of today’s teenagers.
Generations have become more and more unsociable since social media platforms entered their daily lives. This unfortunate decline is largely the result of the addictive nature of social media. Although social media platforms make communication easier and faster, they also affect real life negatively. As a result, teenagers tend to withdraw from real social environments due to external pressures.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that social media is a platform that wastes valuable time and gradually reduces young people’s sociability. To protect our future generations from the dark sides of social media, effective restrictions should be placed on these platforms.
