Creating art and expressing self-identity date back to the very first humans; they are what makes us feel alive. In today’s modern world, the use of AI is a huge debate topic. The majority believes that AI is a helpful tool and will not harm, if used responsibly. However, on the other side, some people believe that AI decreases brain activity and dulls the creative nature of humans.
The human brain was designed to conserve energy and it tends to take shortcuts when available, which makes AI more desirable and natural because the brain is looking to be as efficient as possible. Certain kinds of thought processing require a lot of energy, meanwhile, a bot is offering to take over cognitive work for you. For the people to whom AI is a helpful tool, it reshapes our lives rather than replacing us. Additionally, AI is said to enhance artists’ journeys in numerous ways.
On the other hand, AI is proven to lead to decreased brain activity. We may be able to see a machine’s product as excellent and flawless, but creation is about the little flaws hidden in the perfection. It appears that nothing but another human being can properly be understood as a genuinely creative artist because creations of humans are often based on intuitive leaps and creative insights.
As a conclusion, I believe, the children, if not consciously, are still dreaming of being an artist and AI is gradually destroying their dreams of creating art. In the future, AI work will continue to develop, but so will the traditional forms. To really learn or to create something, it is essential to avoid AI as much as possible.
