With the development of technology in recent years, artificial intelligence has started to take part in our lives. This term is one of the most common words we have been using for the last couple of years. However, there are still questions on our heads about the usage of AI in educational purposes. Should it be banned or not?
As we all know, every human being must adapt themselves to latest developments. Since AI is something that was gifted by those developments, there is no drawback of getting help from it. Even the managers of institutions sometimes need to get advice from them. So, why wouldn’t we allow students to make use of it. In addition, having an idea about how to use AI effectively is going to be one of the key skills for the future. In that case, students must be stimulated to utilize AI unless they overuse it
Some people also support the idea that as AI is getting more common among students, students have started to lack creativity and learning skills. This is partially a legitimate comment but since we are living an era in which the kids are using mobile phones at the age of 4, we should accept this as normal.
To sum up, usage of AI by students for educational purposes must be supported if students are using it consciously.
