How Can Our City Be Improved for Young People?
Since our future is in the hands of today’s young it is important that our city is suitable for young people. So today in our English class we discussed how our city could be better for young people.
On the one hand we can build more exciting dedicated spaces like a modern youth centre or a genuine skate park. This allows these young people to socialize and have fun. They can also take up new hobbies and develop new skills.
On the other hand, we can improve existing public spaces. For example, parks could be made safer by adding more lighting and security. This allows these young people to be out and about more easily and with greater peace of mind. They can do the things they want more easily and comfortably.
In my opinion both ideas are important. However, I would prefer to make existing places safer. It’s cheaper than building a new youth centre. And feeling safe more important than new place.
