Imagine waking up one morning and nobody has to ask you, “What’s wrong?” or “How do you feel?” anymore. Because in the city where you live, emotions cannot hide behind words. Instead, they become colors and spread all around us. I live in such a city, called “Prisma.” Here, being honest is not a choice; it is a law of nature.
This morning, when I looked out of my window, I saw the baker. He was surrounded by a bright orange light. He was probably very excited about the smell of his fresh bread. On my way to school, I saw my friend Selin. From a distance, I noticed a light pink cloud around her. When I talked to her, I learned that her teacher really liked her new painting. She was literally glowing with happiness.
However, everything is not always as bright as a rainbow in this city. When I entered the classroom, I saw Mert sitting alone in a corner. There was a dark, heavy grey fog around him. He didn’t speak to anyone, but that grey color told us, “I am sad, and I need to be alone right now.” In the past, I might have just walked past him, but in this city, seeing emotions makes us more understanding. I went to him and just held his hand. I saw his color slowly turn light blue, which means peace.
In the city of Prisma, there are no masks, only colors. I think the world becomes a much more beautiful place when we don’t hide our feelings.
What color would surround you today? Right now, as I finish this post, I am spreading a bright turquoise because I am proud of what I wrote!
