One morning, the world changed forever. I was in a busy cafe when, suddenly, all human voices disappeared. My friend’s mouth moved, but there was no sound. The music and the traffic noise stopped too. I was terrified. But then I heard a clear voice near my feet.
“This floor is too cold for a nap,” a golden retriever sighed.
I realized that I could no longer hear people, but I could understand every animal. At first, it was overwhelming. The birds in the trees were arguing about the best seeds, and the neighbor’s cat was complaining about her boring dinner. However, my life slowly became more peaceful.
I stopped going to loud parties and started spending my time in the park. Humans communicate with many lies, but animals are always honest. A stray cat told me where to find a lost set of keys, and a bird warned me before it started to rain.
I moved to a small house near the woods. I use a notebook to talk to my family, but my best friends are now the owls and the foxes. The human world is silent, but my life is finally full of truth.
