One morning, I woke up and remembered that I had to write an essay about how everyone in the world feels one emotion more strongly than others. This made me think about the day my mother suddenly lost her sense of smell.
One day, I woke up anxiously and went downstairs. My mother said she couldn’t taste or smell anything. We felt scared and sad. We went to the doctor, and the doctor said that my mom had COVID-19. At that time, many people were contracting this disease.
My mother stayed at home for about 15 days. She rested and took her medicine. We helped her a lot and looked after her very carefully. A few days later, my mom started to feel better and recovered.
However, the disease continued to spread worldwide, and some people could not survive. Others experienced long-term health problems. From these experiences, I learned that health is very important. I understood that I need to value my family more, and I learned to take better care of myself.
