Adjusting To Your New Life

Hi Tuğçe,

Thanks for your email. I totally get how frustrating it can be to feel out of place in a new environment—I’ve been there myself. When I first started at college, I felt really lonely and bored too. I remember spending evenings just scrolling through my phone, wishing I had someone to hang out with. But then I decided to join a small music club on campus, and that really changed things. I met people who shared my interests, and suddenly my days felt a lot more enjoyable.

I know it’s not easy, but there are so many ways to make your new life exciting. Maybe try joining a club, signing up for a class you’ve always wanted to take, or even exploring some fun spots around campus. Small steps like these can make a big difference.

It’s completely normal to feel frustrated or bored at first, but don’t let it take over. Try to be kind to yourself and remember that meeting new people and building a routine takes time. You’ve got the power to make this experience something positive and rewarding.

If you want, we could brainstorm some activities or clubs that might suit you. Sometimes just talking it through helps a lot!

Take care,
Emre
