When I imagine my adult life, I picture myself living in a large, vibrant city rather than in a quiet town. I’ve always felt that the years between twenty and thirty-five are the most important for growing, exploring, and discovering what kind of person I want to become. A big city offers exactly the kind of environment where I can meet new people, experience different cultures, and take advantage of countless opportunities. The constant movement, the noise, and even the chaos feel energizing to me rather than overwhelming.
One of my biggest dreams for my university years is to travel as much as I can. I want to visit new countries, learn from different lifestyles, and challenge myself socially and academically. Living in a metropolitan area would make all of this easier because big cities naturally connect you with the rest of the world.
A peaceful small town, on the other hand, seems like something I might appreciate later in life — maybe in my forties — when I’m ready to slow down a little and enjoy a calmer rhythm. For now, though, I prefer the excitement and variety that only a big city can offer. That’s why, in the early stages of my adulthood, I see myself choosing the energy of a metropolis over the quiet comfort of a small town.
