LIFE IN AFRICA

I wake up outside, and I immediately go to my job. My job is selling my toys so I can buy food. I sell a few toys and then buy a small piece of bread. I am still hungry, but I don’t have enough money to buy anything else.

I also work by stacking bricks and carrying heavy things to people’s homes. With the money I earn, I buy medicine and pills for my sick mom and dad. Sometimes, when I am very hungry, I eat some leaves, and then I feel a little better.

My whole day is spent working. When my job ends, I go home and sleep. On weekends, my work is shorter, so I can spend some time with my family. I go to school only on Wednesdays and Mondays. But my sister cannot go to school because it is forbidden for girls.

At school, I learn math, and they give us bread and milk. This helps me a lot.
This is my life in Africa.
