With technology developing faster than n ever in the last few years it was no surprise that a copy of the human mind would get created. As anyone might guess the point of mention is Artificial Intelligence(AI) being one of the most controversial “tools” of all time as soon as it was introduced to public, but does it actually deserve all the controversy.
One of the most worrying problems that arouse with AI is authenticity of work as AI is being trained on previous documentary made with efforts of hundreds of humans whom devoted their life into some of the pieces and AI using these as source material to base its opinions and all of the content it creates makes its originality questionable. Another point to be considered, is the reality of interactions on the internet. AI ,especially in the last year, has dominated all platforms existing in every plane of it making some people question their interaction as it has become almost impossible to understand if its AI or not.
Undoubtably, what most defenders of AI base their arguments around are that AI has made research incredibly easy and accessible for anyone at all times. However, that is where the problems start as excessive usage of AI, being proved by many studies, limits the full utilisation of the brain as critical thinking of many disappear into thin air. Forby, AI is proposed as helping those with “”no talent” or “disabilities” to make art, nevertheless AI actually is being an excuse for those not wanting to work hard as there is a myriad of amputee and/or disabled artists all over the world who just keeps proving that there cannot be anything over art.
All in all, even if AI seems to be a great instrument and a cover up for many its cons most definitely outweighs its pros by literally limiting your ability to be for your own and wasting the past work of many for the lazy entertainment.
