I received an invitation from Japan for a conference related to artificial intelligence in 2040…
I was an expert in this field in my own country, but I was excited about what I would see in Japan… I saw brand-new applications of artificial intelligence everywhere I looked. Driverless flying cars, robots walking the streets, and supermarkets where no one worked… What surprised me most were the robot cats and dogs…
In the morning, I called a taxi from my hotel to the conference using a phone app. The app informed me that the weather was cloudy and advised me to dress accordingly. When I got in the taxi, I was shocked because there was no driver. The conference was good. I don’t know Japanese, but I was able to communicate very easily with everyone using an AI-powered headset.
Of course, a dinner was organized after the conference. We went to a restaurant with no waiters; instead of showing us the names of the dishes on the menu, the robots handled everything else and brought us all our favorite foods.
Did someone say artificial intelligence? Perhaps it’s genuine intelligence, useful intelligence, efficient intelligence…
