Some argue that AI is just a tool, like a calculator, using it responsibly is an essential skill for the future and some think that it is an easy way to cheat.
One the one hand, there are several positive aspects of using AI in education. Firstly, and foremost , AI can help students generate ideas and organise their thoughts. It can also check grammar and spelling, which improves the quality of written tasks. To add more , AI can explain difficult features in simple language, making learning more accessible ,easy and practical. When it is used properly, it can save time and make life easier.
On the other hand , there are some negative opinions about AI. Some people believe that if students rely too much on it, they will not develop independent thinking skills. Others worry that students may copy answers without understanding the material. This could reduce creativity and academic honesty. Which to some extend is true, however it is up to the students’ discretion to use it properly or not.
In conclusion, although AI has some disadvantages, I believe it should be used in schools. With clear rules and responsible use, AI can support learning while still encouraging students to think for themselves. After informing the children about the AI usage, every regulation can be done by teaching them how to use, apply it.
