Have you ever thought of being an exchange student, or wondered what is it to be? Nowadays most students go abroad to finish their education to have better facilities or just to have experience. In our class we have discussed about being an international student.
Firstly, studying abroad brings many experience, for instance, having international friend group or learning the culture. As you see the life there, you understand the locals better. Another benefit is the better facilities provided by the country or the college. Deserving students can get scholarships with the sheer brilliance of their extracurriculars or grades, helping them economically.
Moreover, being an exchange student means hardworking. Getting those great grades and projects is not easy as it seems. To be honest, nobody wants lazy students to be there, seems to be having great education and deserving it. With that, caring for and researching for every single detail is also tough. In addition, going abroad is extremely expensive in this economy of most countries. Some families work much more to help their children to have a better education. Even though the school provides scholarships, not every student gets those economical aids.
To sum up, in my opinion, this opportunity is one of the best. Even though some people think going abroad just for the culture and language is not worth it and can be learned via online sources, if you have the chance, don’t miss it!
