“Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.”. This quote was spoken by Oscar Wilde, the legendary scenarist who changed the theater world. Even tho these quotes may not seem like a lot, they actually say a lot about you and me.
I and thou are not so different after all, we lie to each other every day. Even to ourselves. We don’t wanna think about disgusting things, so we just try to forget the stuff we did in the past. We fight fire with fire, but can it be such a bad thing? Because deep down, we know why we are doing stuff, it’s just a comparison with the perspectives of others. If we are doing it, then we must have a reason. Oscar Wilde’s words speak about our duality, speaking behind our past actions, like saying “I used to do it, but I don’t do those anymore. You can trust me now because I am an ex-villainish creature.”. It can’t be that bad; it could be worse.
The “gods are laughing” type concepts are so easy. What really is interesting, you ask? I’d say the following… Even tho we know one thing we do is true, we don’t put it into words, but if someone does it, they are an icon. Easy to do as well, just observe the behavior of the humans from far away as a human yourself. You will find something interesting. The face beneath the phony words they tell you. I always forget one thing… Will my sins just disappear after I lie?

Burning Memory.
