Changes in Population of China and India Over the Years

China and India always had huge populations. From the years, both countries have been almost racing for a huge population. The given graph provides past and expected future populations of these countries.

The first given data from the graph comes from the year 2000, and China has a larger population by roughly 300 million people. After the year 2000, China gains population slowly, but India gains population more rapidly and slowly starts to overtake China. In the year 2030, it is expected for India to equal China’s population and start to have more population than China. After 2030, China’s population starts to get lower and decrease and get lower than 1.4 billion people. India’s expected population by 2050 is about 1.6 billion people.

In the long term, India will have more population than China.
