Do Animals Really Make Us Happy?

Pets. Most people love them, and many people have them at home. Do they really bring us happiness, though? Or is it just an addiction that prevents us from feeling free? I will explain different aspects of having a pet through the eyes of a person who had a pet cat for a short time.
Pets are adorable and cuddly. They make their owner feel like they have everything in the world. Even the eyes of that cute ball of fur can instantly make your day. They can feel like a friend. When I first got my cat, I felt the same way.
Despite the picture-perfect lives of pet owners we see, there are obviously downsides of having pets too. First of all, pets come with serious responsibilities. Providing them with food, shelter, entertainment, and cleaning up after them are just some examples of the basic responsibilities you have. Additionally, if no one is home to take care of your pet, you have to leave it alone at your house.
To sum up, there are both good and bad sides to having a pet, and whether your pet brings you happiness or takes your freedom depends on your relationship with it and your lifestyle. You should carefully think and be ready to take care of the pet when you get one, because animals are not toys you can throw away when you get bored of them; they are living things that should be properly taken care of.
