In recent years, improving the public areas in the way that young people can spend and enjoy their time more has become a very controversial question. Many people claim that young people don’t need this improvement because they are on their phone all day and rarely get out of their room. Therefore, they say it would be just a waste of both money and time. However, the others believe that juveniles actually need this change. So, does this improvement should be really done?
It has become commonplace in our society to argue that the inadequacy of community spaces is one of the reasons for youths being socially distant and become homebody. Some questionnaires do show that most of the teens can’t find anything interesting to do in their town so just chose to stay at home and this situation actually creates aa vicious cycle. Because they can’t find something at outside that they show interest, youngsters are staying at home and doomscroll all day and because they keep looking at their phones all day long, they don’t get out and don’t socialize and this loop keeps going on.
Contrary to what it is believed making few changes in public areas won’t end up with waste of time or money. Indeed, these changes would encourage youthhood to get out of their home and spend some time beyond their room’s walls. We are not talking about big changes ;even small improvements could make significant differences. Creating places more appealing to teens and providing a space for them to spend their time may reduce their screen time and increase the quality of their lives.
In conclusion, these improvements that in favour of youths should definitely be made. They should be able to surf on the internet all day along but also have a place to learn new hobbies ,keep up with the thing they interest, spend their time with friends and enjoy every second of it. This will urge them to put their phone aside and participate more in actively in real life activities.
