Lina lived in a small apartment in the city. Every morning felt the same to her. She woke up looked at her phone and checked her email hoping for good news. But most days there was nothing. Sometimes there were rejection emails from schools or writing contests she had applied to. They made her feel tired and unsure about her future.
One mornin Lina sat on her bed feeling hopeless. She did not want to start another boring day. She slowly walked to the window and opened the curtain. At that moment, the room filled with bright sunlight. Everything started when that light filled through the window.
The light felt warm and calm. Lina felt something change inside her. She looked around her room and noticed things she had ignored before. On her desk there was an old notebook covered in dust. She picked it up and opened it. Inside were short stories she had written years agowhen writing was just a hobby and not a dream full of pressure.
She sat down and began to read her old work. Some sentences were not very good but the ideas were interesting.Lina smiled for the first time in days. She took a pen and started writing again. She did not think about success or failure. She just wrote what she felt.
Time passed quickly. When Lina finally stopped writing, the sun was already going down. She checked her phone and saw a new email. Her heart beat faster as she opened it. This time it was not a rejection.
A small magazine wanted to publish one of her stories. Lina read the email again to make sure it was real. She felt proud and excited, but also calm. It was not a big magazine, but it was a start.
That evening, Lina went outside for a short walk. The city lights were bright and people were talking and laughing. Everything felt more alive. She understood that her life did not change in one day but her way of thinking did.
When Lina returned home she put the acceptance email on her wall. She placed the old notebook next to her bed. She knew there would be hard days in the future, but she also knew she would keep writing.
Sometimes a simple moment can remind us who we are and give us the courage to move forward.
