In my English class we recently had an argument about the way using technology is affecting our lives. The class was pretty divided on the subject. The class brought up some good points like that it’s easier to connect with someone, or how it making us more introverted.
It’s clear that social media is making communication faster and more accessible. You can message or video call friends from all around the world, and it helps people stay close even if they are so far away. It also helps us find people who have the same interests as us, automatically forming a bond with them. The instant communication could also help with school and group projects with other classmates.
On the other hand, it is making us more distant with our family members. Since most teenagers are busy with their phones instead of spending quality time with family. The posts on social media always show the best part of people’s lives, which tends to damage self confidence in a lot of people.
In conclusion, I’d say your relationship with technology depends on how you choose to use it. It’s important not to let social media take over your life and remember that balance is important.
