Emma left her house in a hurry because she didn’t want to be late to meet her friend. She hadn’t checked the weather, even though the sky looked a bit cloudy. Halfway down the street, the rain suddenly began to pour. She ran to a small bus stop and waited under the roof.
She looked at her clothes and said, “When I opened my eyes, I couldn’t believe what I saw.” Her hair was dripping, her shoes were full of water, and her jacket looked as if she had jumped into a pool. She called her friend, who arrived five minutes later with an umbrella and a towel. They both laughed at how funny Emma looked.
Despite the disastrous start, they still had a fun afternoon together, drinking hot chocolate and watching the rain from the café window. While going back home, Emma couldn’t decide if the day had been fun or not.
