Future or Past

If the new year were a time when the past and the future met, I would change the things I did in the past that I thought were mistakes. I think changing the mistakes we made in the past may not always be a good thing, why? Because some mistakes lead us to the right path, so I would change it after I was sure about what I wanted to change. I wouldn’t want to change the past because where I am now is enough for me, but if I had a past that I was sure would bring me to a better place than where I am now, I would change it. The only time I would change the past is when I see where I am in the future after changing the past. This seems a bit ridiculous to me because if it were possible to change the past every new year, then every new year would be a new life, so we wouldn’t have a destiny because we would be able to control our lives. In fact, our lives could be played with as well, let’s say we died, a relative of ours could go and save us from death, for example. I think it’s a good thing that such a thing doesn’t exist, because if it did, everyone would be playing with not only their own lives but also the lives of other people, some for the better and some for the worse.
