Global migration means people move from their country to another country. People move for many different reasons. Migration can be good or bad. For some people, it is bad. For others, it is good.
Many people do not want to migrate, but they have to. For example, people run away from war or do not have jobs. One new example is the Ukraine-Russia war. Many people from Ukraine went to other countries in Europe. They started a new life. Another example is Syrians. Many Syrians came to Turkey after the war in Syria. These migrations change the country where people go.
Migration helps the economy. Immigrants work and pay taxes. This is good for the new country. Immigrants also help in farming and other jobs. These are usually physical jobs.
Migration is also good for the country where people leave. There are fewer people without jobs. Immigrants also send money to their families. This helps the economy of their old country.
But migration can also bring problems. For example, in the 1960s, many Turkish people went to Germany to work. They helped Germany, but there were problems too. Some people had a hard time living in a new culture. Turkey also lost smart and educated workers. But with good plans, these problems can become smaller.
Today, some people in our country do not like immigrants. One reason is that immigrants sometimes get more help than the people of the country. We should help immigrants, but we should also think about the people who already live here. Citizens must come first.
In conclusion, migration brings good things. It helps the economy, brings new cultures, and gives people new chances. Of course, there are problems too. But if we plan well, we can make migration good for everyone. Like Victor Hugo said, “Immigrants are like fresh blood in a country.” If we use this “fresh blood” well, everyone can win.
