Hello. Today I want to explain why humans test some things on animals.
People test new medicines or products on animals because they want to see if they are safe. They do this so humans are not in danger. Long ago, people didn’t know much about science, so they sometimes tested things in very unsafe and wrong ways. Today, we understand much more, and testing rules are very strict.
Some tests in the past were very harmful, and many of them were not right at all. Because of this, scientists now try to make safer and kinder ways to learn about new medicines.
Today, many tests are still done on animals, such as testing medicines or antibiotics. Some scientists say they need to do this to keep people safe, but many others are trying to find new methods that do not hurt animals.
I feel sad for all the humans and animals that were part of experiments. I hope in the future we can find better and more peaceful ways to test new things.
