Impact Of Animals On Humans

The pets we have are a true source of happiness. I had a parrot about two years ago. Before he passed away, I always looked after him. I played with him, cared for him, and did everything a responsible pet owner should do.

Some people think that having a pet prevents a person from feeling free. I can’t agree with that idea, because pets give us positive energy. Most animals can sense our emotions — they can actually feel our mood. Can you believe that even street animals can do that too?

Let me give you an example. About a month ago, I had an argument with a friend, and I was really sad. I was walking home, feeling down, when a cat came up to me. I bent down and petted it. I was in such a bad mood, but because of that one cat, I suddenly felt better.

From this memory, I can say one thing for sure: I never thought that animals take away our freedom. Of course, they bring some responsibilities, but I actually think that’s a good thing — it’s like taking a step toward becoming a parent.

With animals, we learn many important life lessons. You care for them, feed them, and start to understand what responsibility means. I even think that if a child is irresponsible, bringing a pet home can help them learn how to care for others.
