Locked By Screens

Over the past 100 years technology evolved to a state that people couldn’t even dream of it at the past. We invented computers that can make millions of process in mere seconds and we manage to make it small enough to fit out pockets. With that we can use everthing in the internet whenever and wherever we want. But is this real a good thing for us?

After these great inventions the concept of digital addiction came into our lives. It can cause problems in their normal life or in work for individuals in the long term. Furthermore it may damage the social bonds in the society with the high rate of  addiction. Especially after the invention of cell phones and smart phones people got easier access to internet and social media. This resulted as the increase of the people that has addiction.

This is a global problem that millons are affected by. What’s more it is normalized by the society because of the high rate of addiction. That’s why people are doing nothing to solve this problem even if it’s ruining their lives.

So how can we solve it? Firstly we have to get rid of this ourselves. You can put limits to yourself. Like using social media only for an hour a day or playing games only at the weekends. You can try out new hobies or spending time with your family rather than wasting your time with doom scrolling. You just need to find something usefull to do instead of harming yourself day by day.

If you tried and couldn’t succeed, it’s totally natural. Like the other addictions, some people may need help about it. You can either ask help from a friend, a familly member or from a profesional.

After that we have to try to help others. We can try to encourge them to make a move or just raise awareness about how they are ruining thier life for just temporary pleasure. Educating people might work aswell and especially for the ypung generation. It’s well known that they are more addicted to screens then the elders because they borned to age of technology.

In conclusion, digital addiction is a global problem that thousands suffer but if we try to change ourselves and our society we can make a differance in our lives.
