I opened my eyes in the morning. My heart was beating fast. The big day had finally arrived: I was a football player for Fenerbahçe. The biggest dream I had been building for years had come true.
Even as a small child playing football in my neighborhood, that yellow and navy-blue jersey was always in my mind. After school, I would immediately put on my kit and practice shooting for hours. Whenever I watched Fenerbahçe matches on TV, I always said, “One day, I will be there.”
After I performed well in regional tournaments, the Fenerbahçe youth coaches noticed me. I trained harder than ever and never gave up.
And now, I am standing in that great stadium… Şükrü Saracoğlu. I felt proud as I put on the striped jersey. When I took my first step onto the pitch, the cheers echoed through the entire stadium. I was incredibly excited.
It was the most beautiful moment of my life. This was the day when a dream finally turned into reality.
