I woke up early in the morning. I brushed my teeth and put on my clothes. I quickly ran to the door and put on my shoes — I almost missed the bus! I was so sleepy that I didn’t even notice when we arrived at school.
When I got off the bus, I went inside and straight to the toilet to wash my face. After I came out, I thought I was dreaming, so I went back in to wash my face again. When I came out the second time, I realized I wasn’t dreaming — it was real. I could read my friends’ minds! There was a speech bubble floating over everyone’s head.
I asked my friends if they could see the speech bubbles too, but they thought I was dreaming. So, I asked them to think about something I couldn’t possibly guess. When they said they were ready, I told them exactly what they were thinking. At first, they couldn’t believe it, but after a while, they accepted that I could really read minds.
After school ended, I went to a carnival in my city. There was a game where you had to guess what the shop owner was thinking. He would write it down, and if you guessed correctly, you’d win a big prize — a thousand dollars!
I bought a ticket and waited in line. When it was my turn, I started to read his mind. He was thinking about tea made with coconut water. I wrote it on my paper and folded it twice. When we opened our papers, they said the same thing! The shop owner looked disappointed but gave me the big prize.
I went home and used the money to buy a new phone. But while I was ordering it, I heard someone calling my name. I slowly opened my eyes — and realized it was all a dream. I was late for school again!
