If I could design a city in my mind, that city would definitely have the sea. I believe the sea represents the freedom of a city, and freedom is something that cannot be overlooked for a city. Without freedom, no one would want to live or stay in a city. But in the city I designed, I would want there to be freedom and equality. That’s why I would include the sea to symbolize this.
I would try to make my city as advanced as possible in terms of technology. There would be large screens on every corner of my city, just like in New York. Because if a city is lagging behind in technology, then that city is behind overall. I would also ensure my city is very advanced in terms of healthcare. I would build large hospitals because I wouldn’t want the people living in my city to go to another city or country due to health issues.
I would like my city to be very crowded. While my city is crowded, I would try to minimize fights and terrorism. I would build large shopping malls because shopping malls are attractive structures for everyone. My city would have more detached large villas because I find detached large villas more modern and beautiful. I think living in apartment complexes feels suffocating.
In my city, there would be many hotels, as the number of people needing accommodation would be very high. I believe many tourists would visit the city I design because it would be both modern and entertaining. We could call it a mix of today’s New York and Miami. I would include highly technological amusement parks and entertainment centers all over the city. While establishing these entertainment venues, I would pay great attention to safety because no matter how entertaining a city is, if it’s not safe, people would avoid coming to it.
I would work towards creating more refined and elegant environments in my city. I would ensure that a large part of my city includes high-end brands so that distinguished people are encouraged to visit more. Additionally, a significant portion of my city would consist of greenery—forests, trees, insects, and so on. I would aim to protect the natural world because, as you know, the green areas of our world have been destroyed.
In my city, I would place stray animals in more beautiful and well-maintained shelters because stray animals can make a city look unclean. I would also include dozens of museums and artistic structures in my city. I want my city to be an artistic city. An artistic city attracts more attention and gives tourists more places to see.
I would build many facilities for education in my city. My city would have numerous renowned universities because I believe universities and education are crucial details for a city. There would also be many high schools in my city.
Besides that, there would be daycare centers in the mornings, mainly for small children and elderly people. For small children, I would build parks and plenty of entertainment venues. However, I wouldn’t allow the sale of harmful substances like alcohol and cigarettes in my city. Alcohol and cigarettes ruin the lives of many people, and I wouldn’t want these to exist in my city.
