Hi, I’m Ege. I’m 10 years old and I love video games. I don’t have any talent in sports or art.
But a few weeks ago, an event called “GET TO KNOW YOURSELF” was organized, and that’s when I realized I could discover my own talents there. Everyone really wanted to participate in that event. They asked us questions about ourselves and our hobbies. After filling out the form, they called me to a room. There, they assessed my running speed, muscle strength, memorization skills, and coding abilities.
Two days later, school clubs were formed, and I was very surprised to see my name in the coding group. Apparently, I came first in coding. Our club has after-school classes every Tuesday and Friday. The first week was spent getting to know each other. In the following weeks, we started coding. I really wanted to create my own game. When I told the teacher about this, she just smiled and moved on. Of course, she started by teaching us basic coding. This became child’s play for me because I occasionally hacked some games. The teacher covered these parts in two lessons, and then we learned game development codes. I think that topic was covered in about six lessons. Then the teacher gave us some time to develop our own games. Today I’m proud of myself because I’ve finished writing the code for my own game. Now I have a working game and a new skill. For now, I’ll focus on developing this game further. As I learn new code, I’ll create different applications to children find out their skills like me.
