Nowadays, many older people talk about how our traditions and culture have changed since technology began to advance. While this is partly true, I don’t see it as a problem.
Since the dawn of time, humans have evolved, migrated, and invented new tools to improve their lives. Just like our ancestors, we must keep moving forward. In my opinion, older generations are somewhat obsessed with this idea, even though not much is actually changing in our culture. Our culture is simply adapting to modern life. For example, we now celebrate holidays through mobile phones and social media.
Also, because older people often struggle to learn new technologies, they tend to avoid them—and sometimes try to keep us away from them as well.
In conclusion, the so-called “massive change” in our traditions and culture is often exaggerated. This is mostly due to how attached our parents and grandparents are to the past.
