PROJECT MIRACLE

It was a cold winter morning. The sky was dark and the wind was getting harder. I was walking to school with my backpack. I was thinking about my day and all the homework which I finished last night. Suddenly I stopped walking. My eyes opened wide, and I felt my heart beat faster. I had forgotten my science project at home!

The project was very important. My teacher said it will effect our final grade. I worked on it for two weeks. I made a model of a volcano. I painted it, added trees, and even made it explode with baking soda and vinegar. I was proud of it. But now, it was on my desk at home, and I was on my way to scor a miracle to happen. I saw my dad’s car coming down the road. He was driving to work, but he saw me running and stopped the car. “What’s going on?” he asked, opening the window. “I forgot my science project! I have to go back home and get it!” I said, breathing hard.“Get in!” he said. We drove quickly but carefully. In ten minutes, we were at home. I ran inside, took the project, and ran back to the car. My dad turned the car around and drove fast toward school. We arrived at 8:29 — just one minute before the bell rang.

I thanked my dad and morning but everything turned out fine. Sometimes miracles do happen when we need them the most.
