When was the last time you saw a kid without a phone in his hand? As time progresses, the answer for this question always gets much more concerning. The social cohesion is not just declining in my country. It is happening all around the world and it effects get much more visible over time.
Technology’s benefits can’t be rejected. It makes many things easier such as communication, entertainment, health, and research. A world without the modern technologies would not be place that most people would be able to live in. Especially digital technologies such as the world wide web have made possible so that we can contact someone on the other side of the world just in a few seconds.
However, the benefits provided by technology can sometimes cause pretty serious problems. Most technology developed in the past were not as persuasive as the digital developments we now have. Digital devices such as cell phones or computers limit people under the impression of giving them more freedom. The passages that they provide usually become walls that block us from seeing our neighbourhood. People over a certain age limit, which is usually after puberty, are generally capable of understanding the difference between the digital world and the material world however this is not the case in children’s abilities.
To summarize, the development of technology is essential to humanity but its effects on people especially the kids are terrible. Without the necessary measures, the rising concerns about technology will be the reality that we live in.
